Managed IT Services for Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID Environments

LeadThem Consulting has managed Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) environments for organizations since 2005. For many clients, managed services begin where a migration ends: after the tenant consolidation or AD restructure is complete, we stay on to keep the environment healthy, secure, and current.

Our managed services are built for organizations running Microsoft identity and productivity infrastructure. We apply the same Quest On Demand tooling we use during migrations, including On Demand Audit and On Demand Recovery, for ongoing administration, change tracking, and rapid recovery when something goes wrong.

Managed services sit primarily under Quest Identity Security and Resilience, the second solution within the Quest Security Management Platform. The relevant products are Quest Identity Recovery for hybrid AD and Entra ID recovery, Quest Identity Defense (formerly Security Guardian) for AI-powered identity threat detection, and Recovery Manager for AD where on-premises recovery is in scope. We continue to use Quest Secure Migration tooling on the portion of the engagement that involves moving workloads.

Talk to a migration architect
What does LeadThem manage as a managed service?
Active Directory health and recovery, Entra ID identity governance, Microsoft 365 administrative operations, and Quest tool operations (Identity Recovery, Identity Defense, Change Auditor). The team monitors the environments, responds to incidents, and runs scheduled maintenance and recovery drills.
How does managed services differ from a project engagement?
Project engagements deliver a specific outcome (a migration, a domain restructure, a tenant cutover) within a defined start and end date. Managed services are ongoing monthly engagements that keep the post-project environment healthy: monitoring, recovery drills, change auditing, identity hygiene, and tier-three escalation when something breaks.
Is managed services 24/7?
Standard coverage is business hours in the customer's timezone with documented on-call escalation for critical-severity incidents. Twenty-four-seven coverage is available as an add-on for environments that require it (regulated industries, global operations).
What is covered under Active Directory management?
Forest and domain health monitoring, replication and FSMO checks, scheduled AD recovery drills using Quest Identity Recovery, AD attack-surface monitoring with Quest Identity Defense, change auditing through Quest Change Auditor, and Group Policy governance with Quest GPOADmin. Coverage scopes are tailored per customer.
Do you support identity recovery scenarios?
Yes. Quest Identity Recovery (formerly Recovery Manager for AD Disaster Recovery Edition) is the recovery platform LeadThem uses for granular object recovery, attribute-level rollback, and full forest recovery scenarios. The team runs recovery drills quarterly as part of the managed-services scope.
