QMMAD – Migration Manager for Active Directory

This class is intended for those who will be planning and implementing the migration of Active Directory. The version of the operating system will be Windows 2008 R2 64-bit for Active Directory for this class.

We use our Virtual Training Center (VTC) to provide each student with two working domains:

  • Domain 1 (Source) includes:

o   Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controller for a fully operational domain.

o   Exchange Server 2010 SP1 server installed and running.

    • Win7  workstations
  • Domain 2 (Target) includes:

o   Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controller for a fully operational domain.

o   Windows 2008 server for installing QMM and managing the migration.

Each student will have the opportunity to administrate their own environment and experiment with the tool in a “real world” situation on their own live servers. By giving the student full access in a fully operational setting, the student not only learns by “doing” instead of just “watching” but can also test out ideas and plans in a safe, production-class environment following the completion of the training modules and tests.

At the end of the training and testing, the student is encouraged with any free time they have to work within their own Migration environment for any activities and/or testing desired.
